To maintain and improve the UK's rail infrastructure, Network Rail has to carry out regular planned engineering work. The work is normally done at weekends, on bank holidays and after 10pm during the week, but it may also affect our services at other times.

Engineering work for Today

Buses replace trains between Bromley South and Borough Green & Wrotham / Strood on Sunday 16 June

Routes affected:
Southeastern between London Victoria and Canterbury East / Canterbury West / Dover Priory / Ramsgate

Engineering work is taking place between Bickley and Sole Street, and between Bickley and Sevenoaks.

As a result, buses will replace trains between:

  • Bromley South and Strood via Meopham (minibus shuttle between Meopham and Sole Street).
  • Bromley South and Borough Green & Wrotham.

A shuttle train service will run between Borough Green & Wrotham and Ashford International. Engineering work is taking place in the Ashford International area. An increased service will run between London Victoria and Bromley South to connect with replacement buses.

Services between London Victoria and Ramsgate / Dover Priory will be diverted to run via Lewisham and Strood. Stopping services between London Victoria and Canterbury East will not run.

Buses replace trains between Lewisham and Dartford via Woolwich Arsenal on Sunday 16 June

Routes affected:
Southeastern between London Charing Cross and Dartford via Woolwich Arsenal and London Cannon Street "rounder" services. Thameslink between Kentish Town and Rainham

Engineering work is taking place between Greenwich / Blackheath and Slade Green, closing all lines.

Southeastern

Trains that usually run via Blackheath and Woolwich Arsenal will be diverted, and will run instead via Bexleyheath, calling at all stations after Blackheath.

Replacement buses will run between Lewisham and Dartford via New Cross, Greenwich and Woolwich Arsenal.

Thameslink

Trains between Kentish Town, central London and Rainham will run between Dartford and Rainham only. Customers can use the Southeastern replacement buses, London Buses and Docklands Light Railway.

No trains to / from London Cannon Street on Sunday 16 June

Routes affected:
Southeastern between London Cannon Street and Hayes / Gravesend and London Cannon Street "rounder" services

Engineering work is taking place between London Cannon Street and Greenwich / New Cross, closing some lines in the area, and all the lines to / from London Cannon Street.

As a result, no trains will run to / from London Cannon Street. Trains will be diverted to start / finish at London Charing Cross instead.

Services to / from Gravesend will run to / from London Charing Cross, and will additionally call at Lewisham.

Ticket acceptance:

Valid tickets can be used on London Underground services on any reasonable route between Cannon Street, London Bridge, Embankment, Southwark or Charing Cross.

Buses replace trains between Ebbsfleet International and Ashford International / Canterbury West on Sunday 16 June

Routes affected:
Southeastern between London Victoria / London Charing Cross / London St Pancras International and Canterbury West / Dover Priory / Ramsgate / Margate

Engineering work is taking place between Ashford International and Canterbury West, closing all lines.

As a result, replacement buses will run between:

  • Ebbsfleet International and Ashford International.
  • Canterbury West and Ashford International.

Services between London Charing Cross and Ramsgate will be diverted between Ashford International and Ramsgate to run via Dover Priory. A shuttle train service will run between Canterbury West and Margate.

Southeastern High Speed services will not run between Ebbsfleet International and Ashford International / Margate. Alternative fast services will run between Ashford International and London Victoria via Tonbridge.

Services that usually run between London Victoria and Maidstone East / Ashford International / Canterbury West will only run between Borough Green & Wrotham and Ashford International only as a result of engineering work in the Swanley area.
