Over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, engineering work will be taking place on our network. Below is a summary of how our trains will be affected across the weekend.
Good Friday 29 March
Most lines will be open and operating a Saturday service except for the Sidcup line & trains via Denmark Hill which will be affected by engineering work. Accessible buses will replace trains between:
- Lewisham and Sidcup
Off peak fares will apply all day.
Saturday 30 March
Most lines will be open and operating a Saturday service except for the Sidcup line & trains via Denmark Hill which will be affected by engineering work. Accessible buses will replace trains between:
- Lewisham and Sidcup
Easter Sunday 31 March
Engineering work affects trains via Sidcup, Denmark Hill, Borough Green & Wrotham and Faversham today. Accessible buses also replace trains between:
- Sevenoaks & Maidstone East viaWest Malling
- Sittingbourne & Herne Bay
- Sittingbourne & Canterbury East
- Canterbury East & Dover
Bank Holiday Monday 1 AprilMost lines will be open and operating a Saturday service except for the Sidcup line & trains via Denmark Hill which will be affected by engineering work. Accessible buses will replace trains between:

Routes affected:
Various Southeastern routes
Engineering work is taking place overnight at various locations on the Southeastern network, closing some lines.
Monday only:
From 23:00 until the end of service, accessible buses replace trains between Tonbridge and Wadhurst / Hastings.
Monday to Thursday:
The 23:50 St Pancras International to Faversham service will be replaced by accessible buses between Ebbsfleet International, Gillingham and Faversham.
The 22:37 Tonbridge to Gillingham service will be only run between Tonbridge and Strood. Change at Strood for a connecting train to Gillingham.
Tuesday to Friday
From 01:00 until the end of service accessible buses replace trains between Meopham and Gillingham.
The 04:17 Gillingham to Tonbridge service will start from Strood at 04:33. A replacement bus will leave Gillingham at 03:58 calling at all stations to Strood.
The 00:25 London Victoria to Ashford International service will be diverted and run non stop from Bromley South to Ashford. An additional train will run between Maidstone East and Ashford, departing at 01:27.
Accessible replacement buses will run between:
- Bromley South and Borough Green & Wrotham, calling at all stations except Eynsford and Shoreham.
- Borough Green & Wrotham and Ashford International, calling at West Malling, Barming, Maidstone East, Bearsted and Lenham.
- West Malling and East Malling minibus shuttle.
Tuesday only:
From 23:40 until the end of service accessible buses replace trains between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings and will run between:
- Tunbridge Wells and Hastings, calling at Wadhurst, Battle, West St Leonards & St Leonards Warrior Square.
- Tunbridge Wells and Robertsbridge, calling at all stations.
- Battle and Crowhurst mini bus shuttle.
The weekly engineering work on Tuesday nights between Faversham, Margate and Ramsgate will not take place and trains will run normally.
Wednesday to Friday
From 00:15 until the end of service, accessible buses replace trains between Lewisham and Dartford via Bexleyheath. Trains will be diverted to run via Sidcup instead.
Wednesday and Thursday:
The 23:07 St Pancras International to Ramsgate via Dover service will be replaced by an accessible bus between Dover Priory and Ramsgate.

Various Southeastern routes
Engineering work is taking place at various locations on the Southeastern network, closing some lines overnight from Monday to Thursday.
These changes may be subject to further alteration on some days, such as starting earlier, or not taking place at all. Please check your journey using the Journey Planner, and also check other items on our engineering pages for the date of your journey.
Mondays only:
Every Monday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines between Ashford International and Ramsgate via Canterbury West.
From 23:50 until the end of service, buses replace trains between Ashford International and Canterbury West / Ramsgate.
Mondays and Tuesdays:
Every Monday and Tuesday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines to and from London Charing Cross.
There will be no trains at London Charing Cross or Waterloo East from approximately 23:30 until the end of service.
Trains will run from London Cannon Street instead, and you will need to travel to / from London Cannon Street / London Bridge.
Tuesdays only:
Every Tuesday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines between Faversham and Ramsgate via Margate.
From 23:30 until the end of service, buses replace trains between Faversham and Margate / Ramsgate.
Wednesdays and Thursdays:
Every Wednesday and Thursday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines to / from London Cannon Street.
There will be no trains at London Cannon Street from approximately 23:35 until the end of service.
Trains will run to / from London Charing Cross instead, if you could please make your way to London Bridge for these trains.
Ticket acceptance
Monday to Thursday:
From 23:00 until the end of service, you can use London Underground between Charing Cross, Embankment, Cannon Street, London Bridge, Southwark and Waterloo at no extra cost.
