Route Disruption

Our summary of services across the August Bank Holiday weekend is below:

Saturday 29 & Sunday 30 August

All our routes are open running our normal timetable except for the Hayes line, where buses replace trains between Lewisham & Hayes
Bank Holiday Monday 31 August
All of our routes are open and running our Saturday timetable except for the Hayes line, where buses replace trains between Beckenham Junction and Hayes.

Off peak fares will apply all day on Bank Holiday Monday

Engineering work for Today

No trains via Lewisham from approximately 23:15 each night between Monday 24 and Thursday 27 August

All routes via Lewisham

Engineering work is taking place overnight in the Lewisham area, closing some lines.

From approximately 23:15, trains will not be able to stop at Lewisham. Trains via Bexleyheath will not run or will be diverted to run via Sidcup, and trains will be unable to run between Lewisham and Hayes.

On Monday and Tuesday, most trains on the Hayes line will finish slightly earlier, with only one train leaving London after 22:30, the 23:18 London Charing Cross to Hayes.

Accessible replacement buses will run on the following routes:

London Bridge and Dartford / Gravesend via Bexleyheath
London Bridge and Dartford via Lewisham and Woolwich (Wednesday and Thursday only)
London Bridge / Lewisham and Hayes (Monday and Tuesday only)
London Bridge and Dartford via Sidcup (00:50 from London Bridge only)
London Bridge and Orpington (01:10 from London Bridge only)

Amended late night / early morning Southeastern services between Monday 24 and Friday 28 August

Various Southeastern routes

Engineering work is taking place overnight at various locations on the Southeastern network, closing some lines.

Monday to Thursday:

The 23:50 London St Pancras International to Faversham service will be replaced by accessible buses between Ebbsfleet International, Gillingham and Faversham calling at all stations except Higham, Newington and Teynham

From 23:50 until the end of service, trains via Maidstone East will be diverted after Otford to run via Sevenoaks.

From 23:55 until the end of service, accessible buses replace trains between Dartford and Gravesend.

Accessible replacement buses will run between:

Sevenoaks and Maidstone East calling at all stations except East Malling
Maidstone East and Ashford International calling at all stations
Sevenoaks and Lenham calling at all stations except Kemsing, East Malling, Hollingbourne, Harrietsham and Charing

The ticket office will be closed from now until the end of the day at Chestfield & Swalecliffe station.
Crayford: Toilets out of order

All toilets at the station are out of order at Crayford station.
Eltham: Ticket Office Closure

The ticket office will be closed from 18:00 on 24/08/2026 until further notice at Eltham station.
Farningham Road: Ticket Office Closure

The ticket office will be closed from now until 11:00 at Farningham Road station.
Faversham: Lifts out of order

The lifts will be out of order between Car Park and station subway from 06:20 on 20/01/2026 until further notice at Faversham station.
Additional Information:
Step free access is unaffected. Please use Station Road entrance
Lewisham: Lifts out of order

The lifts will be out of order between platform 4 and subway from now until further notice at Lewisham station.
Margate: Lifts out of order

The lifts will be out of order between platform 1 and the station subway including platforms 2, 3 & 4 from 21:20 on 20/08/2026 until further notice at Margate station.

The nearest station with step free access is Ramsgate
New Cross: Ticket Office Closure

The ticket office will be closed from now until the end of the day at New Cross station.
Additional Information:
Closed for refurbishment until 11 September 2026
New Hythe: Ticket Vending Machine problem

The ticket vending machines are out of order at New Hythe station.
Queenborough: Ticket Office Closure

The ticket office will be closed from now until the end of the day at Queenborough station.
Rainham Kent: Ticket Office Closure

The ticket office will be closed from 12:38 on 26/08/2026 until the end of the day at Rainham Kent station.
Rainham Kent: Toilets out of order

Various toilets at the station are out of order at Rainham Kent station.
Sevenoaks: Lifts out of order

The lifts will be out of order between station footbridge and platforms 1 & 2 from 09:59 on 01/07/2026 until 23:59 on 01/12/2026 at Sevenoaks station.
Additional Information:
Please note there is no 'Step Free Access' for any services heading towards London
The nearest 'Step Free Access' for London Bound Services will be Hildenborough
There is still step-free access available for Thameslink services to Central London
Sole Street: Ticket Office Closure

The ticket office will be closed from now until the end of the day at Sole Street station.
