Get that Friday feeling!

Pay off-peak prices all day, on Fridays between now and 31 May 2024, with pay as you go fares using Contactless or Oyster.

You can pay as you go on Southeastern and some National Rail services in London and the South East, and when travelling by Tube, DLR, London Overground or Elizabeth line.

Whether you are travelling for work, spending the day shopping, or visiting family or friends you can now save money on your pay as you go fares.

Terms and conditions

This is a pricing trial, running on Fridays only from 8 March until 31 May 2024 inclusive.

It only applies to pay as you go single fares and daily caps when using contactless or an Oyster card.

Customers are advised to use pay as you go with contactless or Oyster instead of buying a paper ticket.  TfL paper tickets bought during the trial will not be valid on National Rail services.

Journeys from Heathrow that start, end, or go through Zone 1 are excluded and will remain peak fares throughout the trial period.

Southeastern highspeed services are not included in this trial.

Bus and tram fares are a flat fare no matter the time of travel, so there is no change to these fares.

Holders of 60+ London Oyster card and Older Persons Freedom Passes can travel free before 0930 on trial Fridays.

Peak hours are 06:30-09:30 and 16:00-19:00

Friday 29 March 2024 is a bank holiday in the UK and all rail fares will be off-peak.
