Strike action today, Tuesday 7 May.
Most of our routes and stations are closed. There is an extremely limited service where trains are running. Our advice to customers is to only travel if absolutely necessary.
If you do travel, expect severe disruption, plan ahead and allow much more time for your journey.
Trains that are running could be extremely busy, they start later and finish early.
You may be unable to board trains at some stations, and there could be queues.Online journey planners are up-to-date.

When trains are running, you travelled, and were delayed by 15 minutes or more, you are entitled to Delay Repay compensation.

Engineering work for Today

Routes affected:
All routes via Gravesend
Engineering work is taking place overnight in the Gravesend area, closing some lines.
Wednesday and Thursday:
From 23:25 until the end of service, accessible buses replace trains between Dartford and Gravesend.
The 23:50 London St Pancras International to Faversham services will be replaced by accessible buses between Ebbsfleet International, Gillingham and Faversham.
Wednesday to Friday:
From 00:15 until the end of service, trains via Maidstone East will be diverted after Otford to run to or via Sevenoaks.
Accessible replacement buses will run between:
- Sevenoaks and Maidstone East calling at all stations except East Malling.
- Maidstone East and Lenham / Ashford International calling at all stations.
- West Malling and East Malling minibus shuttle.

All routes via Lwiesham
Engineering work is taking place overnight in the Lewisham area, closing all lines.
From approximately 23:15, trains will not be able to stop at Lewisham. Trains via Bexleyheath will not run or will be diverted to run via Sidcup, and trains will be unable to run between Lewisham and Hayes. On Tuesday, trains on the Hayes line will finish slightly earlier, with no trains leaving London Bridge after 22:15.
Accessible replacement buses will run on the following routes:
- London Victoria / Denmark Hill and Lewisham.
- London Bridge / Lewisham and Dartford via Bexleyheath.
- London Bridge / Lewisham and Dartford via Woolwich.
- London Bridge / Lewisham and Ladywell / Hayes.
- London Bridge and Lewisham.
- New Cross / and Charlton via Blackheath.
- Lewisham and Orpington

Routes affected:
Between London St Pancras International and Ramsgate via Dover Priory, and also between London Charing Cross and Dover Priory
Network Rail monitoring equipment has detected ground movement affecting the line between Dover Priory and Folkestone following the wettest February for 200 years. Regular checks are being carried out on the line and a temporary speed restriction is in place. Southeastern have made some limited service changes to provide you with a reliable and robust train service while Network Rail assess the work needed. Trains will be amended as follows:
Highspeed via Ashford International: Trains from Ramsgate to London St Pancras International via Dover Priory will be retimed, and will run earlier between Ramsgate and Dover Priory. There are no changes to trains in the opposite direction, from London St Pancras International to Ramsgate via Dover Priory.
Paddock Wood line: Trains from Dover Priory to London Charing Cross will leave Dover Priory 2 minutes earlier. Off-peak trains from London Charing Cross to Dover Priory will not stop at Folkestone West.

Various Southeastern routes
Engineering work is taking place at various locations on the Southeastern network, closing some lines overnight from Monday to Thursday.
These changes may be subject to further alteration on some days, such as starting earlier, or not taking place at all. Please check your journey using the Journey Planner, and also check other items on our engineering pages for the date of your journey.
Mondays only:
Every Monday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines between Ashford International and Ramsgate via Canterbury West.
From 23:50 until the end of service, buses replace trains between Ashford International and Canterbury West / Ramsgate.
Mondays and Tuesdays:
Every Monday and Tuesday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines to and from London Charing Cross.
There will be no trains at London Charing Cross or Waterloo East from approximately 23:30 until the end of service.
Trains will run from London Cannon Street instead, and you will need to travel to / from London Cannon Street / London Bridge.
Tuesdays only:
Every Tuesday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines between Faversham and Ramsgate via Margate.
From 23:30 until the end of service, buses replace trains between Faversham and Margate / Ramsgate.
Wednesdays and Thursdays:
Every Wednesday and Thursday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines to / from London Cannon Street.
There will be no trains at London Cannon Street from approximately 23:35 until the end of service.
Trains will run to / from London Charing Cross instead, if you could please make your way to London Bridge for these trains.
Ticket acceptance:
Monday to Thursday:
From 23:00 until the end of service, you can use London Underground between Charing Cross, Embankment, Cannon Street, London Bridge, Southwark and Waterloo at no extra cost.
