Getting here: Take Southeastern trains to or from London Bridge or London Cannon Street to Greenwich station.
From North Kent, take trains via Chatham and Dartford or from South Kent and East Sussex take trains to London terminals and change for services to Greenwich from London Bridge or London Cannon Street.
For stations served by highspeed trains, change at Stratford International for the DLR. For Mottingham, take Southeastern trains to or from London Bridge, London Waterloo East, London Charing Cross or London Cannon Street.

Discover astronomical objects and timepieces in the Octagon room, designed by Sir Christopher Wren and enjoy an unforgettable tour through the universe at the Peter Harrison Planetarium.

National Maritime Museum

Explore one of the world’s largest maritime museums that holds over 2.5 million items from ship models, flags and navigational instruments to historical art, film and photography. Discover tales of polar exploration, see a real Fijian canoe and check out the Ship in a Bottle – a replica of Nelson’s Ship, HMS Victory. Free to visit, there is a charge for special exhibitions.

Greenwich Market

Visit the vibrant Greenwich Market, open seven days a week and potter around the eclectic mix of independent arts and crafts stalls, boutiques, shops and galleries packed into the charming arcade. There are plenty of mouth-watering food and drink options too.

Greenwich Park

Take a break and relax in the oldest of London’s Royal Parks, admiring the incredible views over the River Thames to Canary Wharf and the city. Spot Red and Fallow deer in The Wilderness area by the Flower Garden, explore the children’s playground or visit the beautiful rose garden by the Ranger’s House and explore The Queen’s Orchard where fruit and vegetables are grown (open seasonally).

Old Royal Naval College

Boasting over 500 years of history, the Old Royal Naval College is located at the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and is built on the site of Greenwich Palace, Henry VIII’s birthplace. The Palace fell into disrepair during the English Civil War and it was then transformed into a Royal Hospital for Seamen by Sir Christopher Wren, before becoming the Royal Naval College in 1873. Don’t miss The Painted Hall - a Baroque masterpiece, known as ‘Britain’s Sistine Chapel’, which took British artist Sir James Thornhill nineteen years to complete!

Queen's House

Designed by Inigo Jones and the first Classical building in the UK, the Queen’s House features the Woburn Abbey art collection including works by Canaletto, Rembrandt and Gainsborough. See the iconic Armada Portrait of Queen Elizabeth I, discover the rich royal history of Greenwich and climb the iconic Tulip Stairs – the first geometric self-supporting spiral staircase in Britain.

Ranger’s House – The Wernher Collection

Located on the edge of Greenwich Park by neighbouring Blackheath, discover the history of Ranger’s House and admire the collection of over 700 art works. This beautiful Georgian villa was built in the 1720s and has been home to a naval captain, politicians, military officers, royals and Rangers of Greenwich Park. Now, it’s home to The Wernher Collection – one of the greatest surviving private art collections in Europe.

Eltham Palace & Gardens

Eltham Palace has a rich history; from its origins as a medieval palace and a Tudor royal residence to its modernisation in the 1930s by millionaires Stephen and Virginia Courtauld. The house features Art Deco architecture and design with quirky features including a golden bathroom! Discover the medieval oak roof of the great hall and cross the moat on London’s oldest working bridge in the award-winning gardens featuring a sunken rose garden and children’s play area.
