Borough Market

London’s premier gourmet food market is also its oldest and busiest. It’s a vibrant, bustling affair with over 100 stalls of the finest fresh produce, fish, meats, vegetables, ciders, cheeses, breads, coffees and cakes, plus tons of delicious specialities imported from around the world. There’s also plenty of mouth-watering international street food on offer – we defy you to resist! Open Monday-Saturday, it’s a great place to just wander around, soak up the atmosphere and the yummy smells and take advantage of all the free samples. And it’s just a couple of minutes’ walk from London Bridge station.

The Shard

See the whole of London spread out before you from the top of the tallest building in western Europe. Up at 800ft, The View from The Shard offers spectacular 360 degree views over London for up to 40 miles - twice as high as any other vantage point in the city. Out in the open air on the 72nd floor skydeck, use the touchscreen telescopes to see the sights in greater detail and at day, night, sunrise and sunset.

Shakespeare’s Globe

The Globe Theatre is a faithful reconstruction of the original open air playhouse where many of Shakespeare’s plays were first performed, just ten minutes’ walk from London Bridge station. Watching a play here is like stepping back in time, with all the productions designed to recreate the setting and conditions The Bard would have originally written for. You can even get right in the mix by choosing one of the standing tickets at the front of the stage. The theatre productions here are among the best in London and each season there are several Shakespeare classics to watch. Even if you’re not attending a play, you can do the Globe Exhibition and Tour, and explore the life and work of Shakespeare and theatre in his time.

Tower of London

The Tower of London is a must-see London landmark and it’s just a 20 minute walk from London Bridge station, next to the magnificent Tower Bridge.

Maltby Street Market

Originally started under the railway arches in 2010, this unlikely destination soon became very popular on Saturday mornings for a wander and some grocery shopping. In just two years, the weekend-only Maltby Street Market grew at such a rate, it extended to cover the whole street. From Oysters and Champagne to lovingly made scotch eggs to fresh juices and delicious doughnuts, there is a fantastic range of delicious food and drink for all to enjoy.
