If you are travelling you can find out the latest information about our services and see if there are any disruptions that might affect you
The fault with the signalling system at Petts Wood has re-occured. As a result, trains running from Sevenoaks / Orpington towards London are unable to call at Petts Wood.
Disruption is expected until 21:00.
What's happened?
Southeastern had been advised of a points failure in the Petts Wood area; points are sections of moveable track that allow trains to move from one line to another. The failure meant one of the two lines towards London was unavailable, so all services towards London Bridge were having to use one line.
Staff carried out an investigation and the affected line through Petts Wood had reopened; however, unfortunately the points failure has reoccurred so one of the lines towards London is once again unavailable.
How does this affect my journey?
All-stations services from Sevenoaks / Orpington towards London are unable to call at Petts Wood. Services from Sevenoaks towards London may be delayed through the Petts Wood area.
What should I do?
Please allow extra time for your journey, and check before you travel.
