Group of young people in London

Group Travel tickets

Got a question about Southeastern Group Travel? Find the answers here…

Group Travel is for groups of at least 10 children travelling with accompanying adults, on Off-Peak services. We can offer a discount to travel, reserve carriages, and offer general assistance with your journey.

Group Travel is not available to groups of adults travelling together, instead GroupSave tickets are available.

Please fill out the form online, and someone from the Group Travel office will get in touch with you.
GroupSave is a discount scheme for tickets available across most of the UK. When three to nine adults are travelling together Off-Peak, they can each get a third off the cost of their tickets. This is available at ticket offices, self-service ticket machines, and online for anyone buying tickets. Please see our GroupSave page for more information.

Group Travel is for groups of 10 or more children with accompanying adults, and is only available through our Group Travel office.

Where GroupSave is aimed at anyone travelling together, Group Travel is primarily for schools and youth groups – although anyone fulfilling the criteria can book.

Group Travel can offer a reduced rate for everyone travelling, including charging child-rate fares for passengers aged 16-17. To get a quote, please fill in the online form.

If your group is at least 30 people, we can look into reserving a carriage for you, although it may not always be possible during busier periods.

Reserved carriages will generally be at the rear of a train, and will be marked with labels in the windows and on the doors stating that the carriage is reserved for your group.

There isn't a charge for reserving a carriage.

Group Travel bookings are available for journeys into central London from 10:00, or that leave central London between 09:30 and 16:00 and then from 19:00 until the end of service.

If you're not travelling into or out of central London, then Group Travel bookings can be made on any Off-Peak service on the Southeastern network.

There are no time restrictions for bookings made for weekends or public holidays.

We can only make Group Travel bookings for travel on the Southeastern network, with two exceptions.

We can provide Travelcards for travel on the Underground around London as part of a Group Travel booking. Please be sure to tick the box at the bottom of the booking form if you need Travelcards.

We can make bookings on Thameslink services between Medway and central London, going via the Woolwich line. We cannot do carriage reservations on Thameslink trains.
In order to get your group's booking made, with payment and ticket postage, you need to book at least 10 days ahead of time.

We also can't book more than 90 days ahead of time, as the timetables won't be set that far in advance.
Yes. We welcome everyone on our trains and will be more than happy to make sure Passenger Assist is provided for your journey if you need it.

Please be sure to tick the box at the bottom of the booking form if you need to include a Passenger Assist booking.
