Daily Tickets

Got a question about daily tickets?

We have a few different types of Daily ticket available:

  • Anytime tickets – for more information, please visit our Anytime tickets page.

  • Advance tickets – for more information, please visit our Advance tickets page.
  • Highspeed supplement – for more information, please visit our highspeed page.

Off-Peak and Super Off-Peak tickets aren't amendable. If you'd like to make changes to your journey, you'll need to purchase new tickets and apply for a refund on the originals. You have a period of 28 days after the date of travel to apply for any refund.

If you purchased your original ticket online, and it hasn't been printed, you can sign into your Southeastern account, and go to 'Manage my tickets/refunds' to view the booking in question.  Follow the steps from there to process the refund. 

If your ticket was purchased online or at a station and it has been printed, please post them to Customer Services at the address below:

If the refund is requested before the date of travel printed on the ticket, Southeastern will refund in full and no admin fees apply. If the refund is requested on or after the date of travel printed on the ticket, a £5 admin fee applies.

If you buy a ticket from one of our Ticket Vending Machines and find the same ticket available elsewhere for a lower price, we'll refund you the difference in prices.

To check if you can get a refund, contact Customer Services. Please provide copies of any tickets bought.

A child needs to buy an adult fare from their 16th birthday.

We know that some children under 16 may look older than they are, so we advise that valid ID is carried with the child, just in case they're asked if they have the right ticket for their age by one of our employees during ticket checks.

If a child is charged an adult fare, please contact Customer Services with a copy of the ticket and any proof you have that they're under 16, and we'll look into refunding the difference in price.

If you have an Advance ticket for a certain train, or if your ticket is for an Off-Peak or Super Off-Peak service, but your scheduled train is cancelled, you can still use your ticket on either of the two services before your scheduled train, or the two services afterwards.

This is regardless of if these trains match the time restriction of your ticket, and also applies to all subsequent connecting trains on a journey, as long as they meet the route and operator conditions of the ticket.

If you do board an alternative train, and end up arriving at your destination at least 15 minutes later than planned, please do look to make a Delay Repay claim.
