You can now swap your paper Season Ticket for our new smart card called ‘The Key’ - initially for Weekly, Monthly, Annual point-to-point or Travelcard Season Tickets. If you do, you’ll unlock the benefits of smart, paperless ticketing and speedy, tap-and-go travel… for more convenient commuting and the end of Monday morning queues.

From there on, you can easily check your tickets and journey history any time in your online account.
With The Key, you can buy your weekly, monthly or annual Season Ticket easily online. Outside London, you can also buy weekly or monthly Season Tickets from any of our ticket vending machines (TVMs), without waiting for them to arrive by post.
You can load online tickets two hours after purchase, whilst those from TVMs will be loaded immediately.
If you want to swap your paper Season Ticket you can do that too, as long as you have at least one month validity remaining on a full-priced, adult Season Ticket for a Key-enabled route, purchased on our website or at any of our stations.
Just choose the 'transfer' option and double-check the criteria when you register. You will have up to 2 hours from the registration point to apply for a paper transfer.
They Key can hold tickets between any two Southeastern stations. Tickets from Southeastern stations outside of the London travelcard area can also include a travelcard.
