Thameslink Customer Advice:
Thameslink services are disrupted after an earlier trespass incident between Denmark Hill and Clapham Junction / London Victoria.
Thameslink do not serve London Victoria at this time of day, but Southeastern and London Overground (Windrush Line) services were being held at stations across the area.
This has caused congestion on the Thameslink network in reaction, affecting the following routes:
- Sevenoaks - London Blackfriars / Welwyn Garden City
- Orpington - Kentish Town / Luton
All lines have now reopened, but there have been delays of up to 20-40 minutes. Some trains may not stop at all the usual stations en route, and others may not complete their full journeys.
Please check a journey planner before going to the station. If there is a long delay to your train, or it is no longer stopping at your station, you may wish to use another local route.
Your Thameslink ticket will be valid at no extra cost on:
- London Buses across the local area, between Orpington / Bromley, Catford, Nunhead, Denmark Hill and Central London
- London Overground (Windrush Line) services via Canada Water, New Cross Gate, Brockley and Honor Oak Park, as an alternative to the route via Catford
- Southern services between London Bridge, Peckham Rye and Tulse Hill, and also between London Bridge, New Cross Gate, Brockley and Honor Oak Park
- London Underground services across London via any reasonable route, including the Jubilee Line between Canada Water and London Bridge
- Southeastern services on any reasonable route across the South London area (as their services are also disrupted, please check with them first)
Planning your journey:
You can use live departure boards and a live map of the network. This will show where your journey is likely to be affected.
You can also use an alternative route guide.
You can also use Thameslink's app to find up-to-date information.
Can you tell me more about the incident?
We're very sorry for the disruption at present. Network Rail and the emergency services are working to remove a trespasser who is walking around a number of the lines between Denmark Hill and London Victoria.
