A fault with the signalling system at Herne Hill means that all lines at this station are currently closed.
As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

What has happened?
There is a signalling problem at Herne Hill and all lines are blocked in the area following a fire yesterday. Repairs are being made but service is expected to continue being disrupted through the morning at least.
How does this affect my journey?
Southeastern services between London Victoria and Orpington, and Beckenham Junction and London Blackfriars will be cancelled until further notice.

Thameslink trains which usually run between Sutton / Wimbledon and St Albans City have been altered in both directions.
How have trains been altered?
This means, if you are travelling between Sutton, Wimbledon and Herne Hill, you will need to use an alternative route of travel which may extend your journey time by up to 30 minutes.

Can you tell me more about the incident?
Yesterday, on Tuesday 1 July, a fire next to the railway caused great damage to the signalling equipment in the Herne Hill area, and trains were disrupted as a result.
Every effort has been put into working alongside Network Rail overnight in a joint goal of getting as much track open as possible so we can run as many trains as possible. These efforts continue into the morning and some trains have had to be altered as a result , which may disrupt your journey.

Engineering work is taking place overnight at Lewisham station, closing some lines.
From approximately 23:15, trains will not be able to stop at Lewisham.
Trains via Bexleyheath will not run or will be diverted to run via Sidcup.
On Monday and Tuesday, trains on the Hayes line will be diverted after New Beckenham to Bromley South except the last train 00:09 London Cannon Street to Hayes which will not run.

Southeastern services which run between Blackheath and Charlton
Engineering work is taking place on the Blackheath Tunnel, closing all lines between Blackheath and Charlton from Sunday 18 May until the end of the day on Sunday 27 July.

No trains will run between Blackheath and Charlton.
Most trains between Dartford and London Cannon Street via Woolwich Arsenal / Lewisham will be diverted to run via Greenwich, however at peak times some of these trains will be diverted to run via Bexleyheath.
There will be two trains per hour between Blackheath and London Cannon Street. At peak times some additional trains will run between Dartford and London Cannon Street via Bexleyheath. Alternative travel options:

Mondays only:
Every Monday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines between Ashford International and Ramsgate via Canterbury West.
From 23:50 until the end of service, buses replace trains between Ashford International and Canterbury West / Ramsgate.
Mondays and Tuesdays:
Every Monday and Tuesday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines to and from London Charing Cross.
There will be no trains at London Charing Cross or London Waterloo East from approximately 23:30 until the end of service.
Trains will run from London Cannon Street instead, and you will need to travel to / from London Cannon Street / London Bridge.
Tuesdays only:
Every Tuesday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines between Faversham and Ramsgate via Margate.
From 23:30 until the end of service, buses replace trains between Faversham and Margate / Ramsgate.
Wednesdays and Thursdays:
Every Wednesday and Thursday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines to / from London Cannon Street.
There will be no trains at London Cannon Street from approximately 23:35 until the end of service.
Trains will run to / from London Charing Cross instead, if you could please make your way to London Bridge for these trains.
