The fault with the signalling system in the Ashford International area has now been rectified, allowing all lines to reopen. Trains running through this station may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 90 minutes or revised whilst service recovers.
Major disruption is expected until 15:00.

What's happened?
The signalling system in the Ashford International area has suffered a loss of power earlier which has now been restored. Services are now starting to move again, but will be subject to delays and alterations whilst Southeastern work to get services back to normal working order.
How does this affect my journey?
Services are no longer suspended, however disruption is expected to continue whilst Southeastern work to get services running to normal working times.
What should I do?
Allow extra time to make your journey. If you are due to travel on the affected routes it is advisable to travel later today, if possible. Please use the journey planner for travel updates. Advice will be updated as the incident progresses.
Possible alternate routes to consider if your journey is disrupted:
If travelling to Ramsgate you may wish to travel via Faversham.
If travelling to Dover Priory or you may wish to travel via Canterbury East and change.
You may still use your ticket at no extra cost on
- London Underground services to transfer between London Terminals
- Elizabeth line services between Stratford International and Farringdon
- Thameslink services between London Bridge and London St Pancras International
- Stagecoach Buses routes:
8 between Canterbury West Margate
1 between Wye and Canterbury West
10 to Folkestone Central
510 to Maidstone
Replacement buses will help to supplement train services between:
- Ashford International and Ramsgate
- Ashford International and Tonbridge
- Dover Priory and Ashford International via Folkestone Central

Advice for Southern customers:
Southern have been advised that signalling in the Ashford International area has been restored, and lines are now open for trains to run as normal again. The first services to run through will be:
- 10:54 from Eastbourne to Ashford International (11.25 from Hastings)
- 12:24 from Ashford International to Eastbourne
- In addition to this, an extra service will depart at 10:51 from Ashford International to Hastings
Other cancellations remain possible, so please continue to check before you travel. If your planned train is cancelled then you may need to use an alternative route, or wait for the next available service.
You can use your ticket to travel at no extra cost on:
- Alternative Southern services on any reasonable route
- Southeastern services on any reasonable route - please note Southeastern services to Ashford International are also affected by this incident
- Stagecoach Buses between Hastings and Ashford International, including routes:
- 511, 511a and 511b between Ashford International and Ham Street
- 101 and 100 between Rye and Hastings
Rail replacement buses have been confirmed to run between Ashford International and Hastings, calling at all stations between these points. The buses will run as required at the direction of station staff, so please speak to staff for more information.
Please note that if your journey includes replacement road transport, your journey will take up to an additional 30 minutes longer than usual.
