A broken down train at Dartford means some lines are blocked. As a result, trains will be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

A fault has developed on a train that left the depot, blocking some lines near Dartford.
Response staff continue on site working to move the train. Another train is being used to attach to the faulty train to then move it clear of the line.
How does this affect my journey?
The following routes will experience cancellations or diverted services via Sidcup:
- London Cannon Street to Dartford
- London Charing Cross / London Cannon Street to Dartford
- London Victoria to Gravesend

If you are travelling between London and Dartford, you may need to use an alternative route to reach your destination, and your journey will take up to 30 minutes longer than usual.
No trains will call at the following stations:
- Deptford
- Greenwich
- Maze Hill
- Westcombe Park
- Charlton
- Woolwich Arsenal
- Plumstead
- Abbey Wood
- Slade Green
If you are travelling from any of these stations
You can use your ticket to travel on London Buses at no extra cost between your station and either London Bridge or Dartford, where connections with running train services are available.
If you are travelling to any of these stations
You will need to travel to London Bridge or Dartford, then use London Buses at no extra cost to reach your destination.
If you are travelling between Dartford and Rainham:
A limited train service may still run. You can use your tickets to travel at no extra cost on Southeastern services between Dartford and Gravesend, and also between Gravesend and Rainham. You may have to wait longer for a train towards your destination, or change trains more times than usual during your journey.
You can use your ticket to travel at no extra cost on:
- Alternative Thameslink services on any reasonable route towards your destination
- Southeastern services on any reasonable route between Rainham, Dartford, and London - not including high-speed services
- London Underground on any reasonable route
- London buses on routes between London Bridge and Dartford
Please note that if your journey includes replacement road transport, your journey will take up to an additional 30 minutes longer than usual.

Staff are sending specialist engineers ("fitters") to the site to assess and fix the issue as quickly as possible. If needed, they may also arrange a rescue train to tow the faulty train to a depot.
While staff work to move the train, we’ll try to divert other services if possible. This depends on available tracks and signalling options.
