Summary of the services we're running over Christmas and New Year

Check train times and plan your journey

We're working hard to help you travel safely. Visit our travel advice page for essential information if you need to travel by train.

With an increasing number of our colleagues affected by Covid and government advice that where possible people should work from home, Southeastern will be reducing the existing timetable, removing 7% of train services, from Monday 10th January 2022.

Southeastern is urging all passengers to check before and on the day they travel by visiting our timetables page, contacting us on WhatsApp and by following Southeastern on twitter for the very latest travel information.

Timetable and ticket availability

Advance Tickets are available to buy for the festive period.
All information for the services we're running over Christmas and New Year is available in our online journey planner.

Seat Reservations

At Southeastern we operate a "turn-up-and-go" railway which means you can travel on any train for which your ticket is valid. To help find the quieter times to travel, please use our SeatFinder tools which will show you which trains are usually less busy.

How do I avoid the busiest times?

From experience we know that fewer people are travelling for work over the festive season, but we would recommend you avoid travelling in the morning and evening rush-hour periods if you can – it's also cheaper to avoid the morning peak as well. Our SeatFinder tools will help you find those trains which are usually less busy and you should check your journey before you travel so you can be kept up-to-date with any disruption or changes.

Ticket restrictions

Between Wednesday 29 and Friday 31 December, normal weekday ticket restrictions will apply.
