Taking place on 10 and 11 October, the Battle of Hastings re-enactment weekend brings history to life with spectacular battle displays, living history camps and family-friendly entertainment. The story of 1066 is woven through many of the communities we serve, from Battle, where the famous battle took place, to Hastings on the Sussex coast.
Travel by train with Southeastern and enjoy special direct services between London Victoria and Battle. Unlike many other journeys that weekend, these services provide a direct journey to and from Battle, making it easier to visit the event by rail.
