If you are travelling you can find out the latest information about our services and see if there are any disruptions that might affect you
Following a fault with the signalling system between Gravesend and Rainham (Kent) all lines have reopened. As service recovers, trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 12:00.
What's happened?
There was an issue with a set of points (equipment that allows trains to move from one line to another) near Gravesend earlier.
The line from Gravesend to Strood was blocked but response staff have attended and the line has reopened.

Can you tell me more about the incident?
A points failure was preventing trains from running between Gravesend and Rainham.
Points are moveable sections of track that guide trains onto different routes at junctions. If they develop a fault due to obstructions, electronic failures or other issues, trains cannot safely pass.
Network Rail’s teams attended and have rectified the fault, and we can now run trains through the area as normal again.
