Coronavirus travel advice 

We are currently running a reduced service timetable until further notice.You can check the revised timetable online or by visiting our Coronavirus travel advice page.   

From Monday 18 May the reduced timetable will have some additional peak services and some trains will be retimed. 

As government has said, social distancing means there will be space for as few as 1 in 10 of the usual number of passengers on the railway. The safety of the public and our employees remains our top priority and people should help protect everyone on the railway by only using trains if they have no alternative. Those who can work from home should continue to do so. Please help us keep the railway free for those who need it most. 
 


 

Engineering work for Today

Routes affected:
Southeastern services running via Gravesend / Maidstone West as well as High Speed services between London St Pancras International and Ramsgate via Gravesend Thameslink between Kentish Town and Gillingham / Rainham

Engineering work is taking place between Dartford / Ebbsfleet International and Gillingham, closing all lines.

Southeastern:

Buses will replace trains between:

  • Ebbsfleet International and Strood (calling at Gravesend only).
  • Ebbsfleet International and Meopham (to connect with train services to / from Faversham / Ramsgate / Dover Priory
  • Dartford and Gillingham (calling at all stations except Higham).
  • Dartford and Gravesend.
  • Gravesend and Maidstone West.

High Speed services between London St Pancras International and Ramsgate via Gravesend / Faversham will be amended to run between London St Pancras International and Ebbsfleet International, and also between Faversham and Ramsgate.

High Speed services will still run between London St Pancras International and Ramsgate via Ashford International / Dover Priory.

Services between London Charing Cross and Gravesend via Sidcup will be amended to run between London Charing Cross and Dartford only.

Services that run between Tonbridge and Strood (Medway Valley Line) services will run between Tonbridge and Maidstone West only.

Thameslink:

Trains to / from Rainham (Kent) will not run.

You may use your ticket on London Buses, London Underground, Dockland Light Railway, and Southeastern services between London Bridge and Dartford.

You may also use Southeastern replacement buses between Dartford and Rochester, and Southeastern trains between Rochester and Rainham (Kent).

Southeastern services to / from London Victoria Thameslink services to / from London Victoria

Engineering work is taking place between London Victoria and Brixton / Denmark Hill, closing all lines.

No Southeastern or Thameslink services will run to / from London Victoria on Sunday or Monday.

Southeastern:

Monday:

Bexleyheath Line:

Services between London Victoria and Gravesend via Bexleyheath will not run. You will need to use alternative services to / from London Charing Cross, London Cannon Street & London Bridge.

Sole Street Line:

Services between London Victoria and Ramsgate / Dover Priory will run from London Blackfriars instead but the services that normally run via Denmark Hill will not run.

Maidstone East line:

Services between London Victoria and Ashford / Canterbury West via Maidstone East will run from London Blackfriars instead.

Bromley South Line:

Stopping services between London Victoria and Orpington via Bromley South will be amended to run to / from London Blackfriars. Services that usually start or finish their journey at Bromley South will not run.

Brixton station will be closed all day.

Sunday:

Bexleyheath Line:

Services that usually between London Victoria and Dartford via Bexleyheath will not run. Additional trains will run between London Charing Cross and Dartford instead.

Sole Street Line:

Services that usually run between London Victoria and Ramsgate / Dover Priory will be diverted to run to / from London Cannon Street instead. These services will run non-stop between London Bridge and St Mary Cray / Swanley.

Maidstone East Line:

Services will run between London Victoria and Canterbury West via Maidstone East will be amended to run to / from London Cannon Street instead, and will run non-stop between London Bridge and St Mary Cray.

Bromley South Line:

Stopping services between London Victoria and Orpington via Bromley South will be amended to run to / from London Blackfriars.  Services that usually start or finish their journey at Bromley South will not run.

Customers travelling to / from Bromley South will need to use Thameslink services between Bromley South and Swanley in order to connect with diverted Southeastern services.

Brixton station will be closed all day.

Ticket acceptance:

Valid tickets can be used on:

  • London Underground services at no additional cost between London Victoria, Brixton, Embankment (for Charing Cross), Charing Cross, London Waterloo, Southwark, London Blackfriars, London Cannon Street, London Bridge and Elephant & Castle.
  • London Bus routes 484 / P12 / 78 between Nunhead and Lewisham.

Please note that London Underground are carrying out engineering work on the Victoria line. Buses will replace trains between Victoria and Brixton.

Thameslink:

On both Saturday and Sunday, trains between London Victoria and Sevenoaks will be diverted to start from / terminate at London Blackfriars.
