Disruption is expected until 13:00.
Customer advice
Southeastern
We have been advised of a fault with part of the signalling system at Charlton which affects the line towards London. Response staff attended earlier and locked a set of points into a position that allowed us to run along the Greenwich line towards central London; unfortunately this required drivers to contact the signaller to gain authority to pass certain signals, which delayed services through the area.
From 10:00, the line via Charlton will be blocked for approximately 1 hour 15 minutes to allow staff access to further investigate the signalling problem; during this time services will be diverted via Bexleyheath or Sidcup.
How does this affect my journey?
Services are unable to run via Charlton. Trains are being diverted via Bexleyheath or Sidcup.
What do I need to do?
Please allow extra time to complete your journey with us and check before you travel. You can use your ticket at no extra cost on:
- London Buses between Dartford and Deptford
- Docklands Light Railway between Woolwich Arsenal, Greenwich and Lewisham
- Elizabeth line between Woolwich and Farringdon
- Thameslink services between Farringdon and London Bridge
- London Underground on all reasonable routes

- Charlton
- Westcombe Park
- Maze Hill

Please note that southbound services towards Rainham are able to run as booked.
Please check before you travel this morning. If you are travelling to/from one of the above listed stations then you'll likely need to use an alternative route to complete your journey. You are advised to allow an extra 20 minutes travel time to account for this.
Tickets will be accepted for no extra cost on the following:
