Sometimes, when its exceptionally busy, standard class passengers are advised to sit in First Class. This is when First Class is declassified. If you hold a First Class ticket and this happens you can claim for the difference in cost between a First Class and standard class ticket for that journey.
Contact our Customer Services team within 28 days of your journey with the details. If you have a Season Ticket, please provide a copy of it and your photocard. If you have a Daily Ticket, please provide a copy of it.
When First Class accommodation is full, if you hold a First Class ticket you can claim for the difference in cost between a First Class and standard class ticket for that journey.
