The museum is situated in the 16th Century gable-ended building which was the Magistrate Court from 1857 to 1974, and the borough Police Station from 1895 to 1959. Over 5,500 years of history remain within the museum. Easter to October opening times: Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays from 11am to 5pm. Winter opening times: Saturday, Sunday from 11am to 5pm
The Old Tudor House dates back to 1525. It was a Gentleman Farmers House until Victorian time when it was it was turned into three cottages. Restored in 1951, 86% of the original building remains. March to October opening times: Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays from 110.30am to 2.30pm. Winter opening times Saturdays, Sunday from 11.30am to 2.30pm.
