Services suspended between Ashford and Ramsgate via Canterbury West

On Sunday 26 July, a train travelling between Ashford and Canterbury West was involved in an incident near Chilham station, colliding with livestock which had strayed onto the railway line meaning the train became derailed.

As a result buses are replacing trains between Ashford International and Ramsgate via Canterbury West until Wednesday 29th July. Network Rail hope to have the line open on Thursday 30th July, but check back here for more information nearer the time.

Where possible, you should travel from Canterbury East and travel via Faversham or Dover. You’ll be able to use our high speed services from these stations at no extra cost. You can also use your tickets on reasonable London Underground routes to complete your journey.
