Disruption between Canterbury East and Dover Priory

Date: 04 Jan 2012

Broken rail between Shepherds Well and Dover Priory

Due to damaged railway line points between Shepherds Well and Dover Priory we are unable to run full train services between Canterbury East and Dover Priory.

Due to the location of the fault Network Rail will not be able to fully repair the line until later this month.

In the meantime a temporary timetable is in operation for this area until the work is completed which is estimated to be 28th January -

Thank you for your patience while Network Rail works to repair the line.

Please note season ticket holders travelling to stations between Dover Priory and Gravesend who would normally travel to and change at Dover Priory, can travel to Ebbsfleet via Ashford and change for services between Gravesend and Dover Priory without paying the High Speed Supplement.

This applies to season ticket holders only (weekly and above).

For example a season ticket from Folkestone to Gillingham (not High Speed) would normally travel via Dover Priory to Gillingham via Faversham. For the duration of the emergency engineering work they may travel from Folkestone to Ebbsfleet and on to Gillingham via Gravesend. No travel will be allowed further than Ebbsfleet.
