December 2011 timetable changes

Date: 03 Nov 2011

Today we announced minor changes to the timetable which will come into effect on Sunday 11 December 2011. The minor changes are primarily to help improve connection times and overall train performance.

Southeastern spokesman said, “We are continually looking at ways in which we can improve the timetable taking into account passengers and stakeholders feedback. This year we have already introduced new high speed services to Maidstone, Deal and Sandwich for instance.”

The 11 December timetable changes include extra off-peak services between Bromley North and Grove Park as well as a trial of a number of 12 car trains from Tunbridge Wells to Hastings to help increase capacity and improve performance along that line.

Full details of the changes can be seen below and are available on National Rail Enquiries.

Metro Timetable Changes - Mondays to Fridays

  • 04:55 Orpington to City Thameslink is extended to Kentish Town calling at Farringdon and St Pancras.

  • 06:34 Bedford to Beckenham Junction will cease to call at Herne Hill.

  • A new service will operate between Slade Green and Barnehurst by extending the Cannon Street to Slade Green service to Barnehurst, which then forms the Barnehurst to Cannon Street service offering a through service from stations on the Greenwich & Woolwich line to stations on the Bexleyheath line.
