Oyster Pay As You Go

Oyster Pay As You Go is now accepted on all National Rail services within the London Travelcard area.
 

Now you can travel around London on Southeastern services, as well as buses, Tubes, trams, DLR and London Overground, with just your Oyster card.

We serve 71 stations in the London Travelcard area, in the boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.

You can now benefit from quicker, easier and more convenient travel. 
 

Where can you use Oyster PAYG on National Rail? 

You can use Oyster PAYG on all National Rail routes within Zones 1-9.

Oyster pay as you go will not be accepted for any journey starting or finishing outside Zones 1-9.  

It also won't be accepted on Southeastern High Speed services.

Oyster PAYG fares on National Rail

When you use Oyster pay as you go you get the cheapest appropriate single fare on National Rail services in London.

So, like the Transport for London fares on buses, Tubes, trams, DLR and London Overground, you should pay less than the cash fare.

There are new peak and off-peak Oyster pay as you go single fares on National Rail:

 - The peak fare applies Mon - Fri 06:30 - 09:30 and 16:00 - 19:00; off-peak applies at all other times and on Public Holidays. 

 - The fare charged is set at the time you touch in, at the start of your journey.

From 2 January 2010, off-peak day return tickets within zones 1-9 will no longer be available.  To get the cheapest fare, travel off-peak using Oyster pay as you go.

How to get an Oyster card

You can buy an Oyster card from any TfL approved outlet including London Underground stations, and online from the TfL website.

You can currently top-up your credit from our self-service ticket machines at  London Bridge, London Charing Cross, London Victoria, Waterloo East, London Cannon Street, Catford Bridge, Bromley South, Lewisham, Orpington, Abbey Wood, Eltham, Bexleyheath, Woolwich Arsenal, Bickley, Elmstead Woods and Sidcup as well as selected ticket offices, and any London Underground station.
