Southeastern has been running the train service between London and Kent and parts of East Sussex since 2006. We operate one of the busiest networks in the country and also run the UK’s first domestic high speed service with Javelin trains.
Our 4,000 employees ensure that 0.6 million passengers travel to their destination safely every single day. We have around 400 trains covering almost 1,000 miles of track and serving 179 stations.
We have been awarded the franchise to continue to run these services until June 2018 which will enable us to build on our record of improving train services, investing record amounts in the route network, raising customer service standards and delivering strong passenger growth.
Southeastern is operated by Govia, a joint venture between leading transport operators Go-Ahead (65%) and Keolis (35%).
This video details our exciting plans for the future and how we intend to meet the challenges we face.
There are some challenging times ahead with the major service changes needed to accommodate the redevelopment work at London Bridge but we are committed to continuing to put the customer at the heart of our plans to improve the customer experience over the next three years.
